About Sidequest
A bounty is the simplest deal on the internet: here is a task, here is the money, best entry wins. We built the board that makes that deal safe for both sides.
Why we built it
Most of the internet's best work happens in small tasks: a demo video, a thread that explains something well, a script, a design, a job filmed start to finish. People are happy to do that work for a fair prize. What they cannot see is whether the prize is real, and creators cannot see whether the entries are.
Sidequest fixes both halves. The prize is locked in a contract before the bounty goes public, and the entries are public too, with likes and replies, so everyone can see what they are competing against.
How it is built
Money lives in the Sidequest escrow contract on Robinhood Chain, not in our wallet. A creator funds a pool in USDG, the operator reviews the brief, and the bounty goes on the board. When the winners are picked the operator signs a single transaction and the contract pays every winner and the treasury. If a bounty is declined, the contract refunds the creator in full. If a funded bounty is ignored for 60 days, the creator can take it back without asking anyone.
The fee is 10%, fixed inside the contract when the bounty is funded. Winners keep 90%. Every fund, payout and refund is a public transaction you can open on Blockscout.
Who picks the winners
The Sidequest operator, not the creator. Creators can star the entries they like, and the operator uses that as a signal, but the final call and the signature are the operator's. That is what stops a creator from paying their friends, and it is written into the contract: only allowlisted resolver wallets can trigger a payout.
The flywheel and $SIDE
10% of every funded bounty goes to the treasury. The treasury funds bounties for posts about $SIDE, the Sidequest token, so people get paid to spread the word, and those posts bring new people who fund and enter more bounties. Once $SIDE launches on Robinhood Chain, the treasury also uses that income to buy the token on the open market and hold it. The token page has the details.
